March 17, 2024 | Women's Tennis
WEYMOUTH, Mass. – A singles rally by Boston College (6-8, 1-6 ACC) came too late in Sunday's match against No. 8 NC State (14-4, 4-1 ACC) as the Eagles lost a 5-2 decision in Weymouth, Mass.
After dropping the doubles point, the Eagles opened singles competition splitting the first six sets with the Wolfpack. BC would end up surrendering three consecutive singles matches, allowing NC State to clinch the match early.
The Eagles refused to let up against a top-tier opponent, as Seren Agar answered with a strong 6-2, 6-1 victory in the no. 5 singles match. Nada Dimovska followed by claiming a tough 7-5, 6-3 decision in the sixth match to cut the deficit to 4-2.
Natalie Eordekian entered a third set tiebreaker in the no. 2 singles slot, falling just short 10-8 for the 5-7, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8) loss.
