Six Eagles Earn All-Region Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Six Eagles were named to the USFCA Northeast All-Region Team as announced by the United States Fencing Coaches Association on Thursday morning. Levi Hughes and Elijah Onik were named to first teams, while Luca Berman, Ryan Ho, Junyao Lu, and Ryan Wong were named honorable mentions.

Junior Levi Hughes was named to the first team All-Region team for Men's Epee, while freshman Elijah Onik was named to the first team for Men's Foil. Both are coming off great showing at NCAA regionals and ACC Championships. Hughes left the NCAA Northeast Regionals with a third place finish, while also taking home the bronze medal at the ACC Championships. Onik is coming off a second place finish in Men's Foil at the 2024 NCAA Northeast Regionals, and placed seventh overall at the ACC Championships meet. Both will compete at the NCAA Fencing Championships on March 21-24 in Columbus, Ohio.

Luca Berman, Ryan Ho, Junyao Lu, and Ryan Wong were named All-Region honorable mentions for their efforts this season. Berman is coming off two ninth place finishes in Men's Sabre at the ACC Fencing Championships and the NCAA Northeast Regionals, while Ryan Ho placed 11th overall in Men's Foil at the ACC Championships and NCAA Regionals. Ryan Wong earned two top-15 finishes in Men's Sabre at the ACC Championships and NCAA Regionals. Junyao Lu earned an honorable mention spot for her stellar season. Lu earned 8th place at ACC Championships, while also finishing top-20 in Women's Epee at NCAA Regionals.

Berman, Hughes, and Onik will represent Boston College at the 2024 NCAA Fencing Championships on March 21-24 in Columbus, Ohio.
