CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women's soccer head coach Chris Watkins has announced the addition of Andrea Morrow to the staff as an assistant coach.
"We are excited to have Andrea join us," said Watkins. "She is highly recommended as a top coach in New England and a fantastic recruiter.' The future of Boston College is incredibly bright!"
Morrow comes from UMass Lowell, where she served as an assistant coach since 2018.
Morrow spent the last six years as an assistant at UMass Lowell. Throughout her tenure at UMass Lowell, Morrow assisted the River Hawks to an America East Regular Season Championship, two America East Championship game appearances, and six consecutive post-season appearances, securing a home-seeded first-round game in five out of the six post-season competitions.
Throughout the 2019 season, Morrow worked with goalkeepers and defenders. Under her tutelage, Dunja Mostarac was awarded America East All-First Team, Championship All-Star Team, and All-Academic Team, leading the team in minutes played (1,519).
During her inaugural season, Morrow worked directly with the goalkeepers and, under the tutelage of Senior Julia Schneider, was awarded America East Championship All-Star Team and set the program records at the Division I level for career saves (354) and shutouts (18). Morrow also contributed to guiding the team to their first America East Tournament appearance, culminating in their first Conference Championship Game in program history.
Before her coaching role, Morrow was a stalwart defender for the River Hawks, totaling 61 appearances and 37 starts. She sits 10th on the Division I Career Scoring Leaders list, highlighting her significant contributions to the program at both ends of the field.
Morrow currently holds her USSF D license. She has coached at the youth and collegiate levels during her career. She has worked on staff with local club teams, FC Stars, within the ECNL program.
The West Boylston, Mass. native earned her bachelor's degree in Science in Public Health from UMass Lowell in 2018.
