Eagles Prepare a top-15 matchup against Northeastern

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 15 Boston College women's hockey team is set to take on cross-town rival Northeastern in a Top-15 showdown.

No. 15 Boston College and No.13 Northeastern faceoff for a home-and-home series. The Eagles and Huskies face off at Kelley Rink at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and at Matthews Arena on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Both matches will stream live on ESPN+.

Boston College currently sits with an overall record of 14-9-7 and a conference mark of 13-5-5
The two sides met earlier this year, with Northeastern earning a 3-1 victory over the Eagles.
Sammy Taber leads the Eagles in points (30) and assists (17). Taber was named to the Hockey Commissioner Association Rookie of the Year Watch List.
The Eagles have ten players that have reached double-digit points this season: Sammy Smigliani (10-14-24) is second on the team in scoring, Abby Newhook (9-11-20), Caroline Goffredo (8-9-17),), Gaby Roy (10-6-16), Julia Pellerin (11-6-7), Katie Pyne (9-6-15), Molly Jordan (4-10-14), Jade Arnone (4-7-11) and Sidney Fess (4-7-11) are among those players.
The Eagles currently rank 1st in the conference in penalty kill percentage. BC currently has a .0.826 penalty kill rate.
Campbell is 14-9-6 with a .922 save percentage, 2.44 goals against average and two shutouts.

ABOUT NORTHEASTERN

Northeastern enters the weekend with an overall record of 21-9-2 and a conference record of 14-7-2. The team is 4-0-1 in the last five games. The Huskies' only tie comes from No. 11 Connecticut, with Northeaster picking up the extra point in the shootout.
Skylar Irving leads Northeastern in points with 9 goals and 19 assists for 28 points … Martin has three game-winning goals on the year … Krista Parkkonen has chipped in 23 points on 13 goals and 10 assists to go with four power-play goals.
Gwyneth Phillips has spent the most time in the net for Northeastern, playing in 30 games and starting in all of those. Phillips was just named a semifinalist of the Women's Hockey Goalie of the Year Award. Gwyneth has a save percentage of .952 and a goals-allowed average of 1.20.
