NCAA Tournament: Boston College Set to Face Princeton

Eagles and Tigers to face off in Philadelphia on Friday, Nov. 15
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College is in! The Eagles heard their name called as part of the official selection for the 2024 NCAA Field Hockey Championship tonight on NCAA.com. Â
BC was selected as an at-large team into the 18-team field and will face Princeton on Friday, Nov. 15 at Ellen Ryan Field, located on the campus of Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. Host Saint Joseph's and Lafayette are on the other side of the bracket.

It marks the 13th all-time NCAA appearance for the Eagles and the first since the 2019 season, when BC advanced to the Final Four. Under head coach Kelly Doton, BC has advanced to the NCAA's on five occasions.
The Eagles enter NCAA play with a 14-6 overall record so far in 2024. BC compiled a 6-2 record during the ACC regular season and advanced to the ACC Championship game this past Friday, falling to North Carolina. Boston College entered the conference championship at the No. 3 seed, besting Stanford in the quarterfinals and taking down Duke in a shootout to advance to the title game. Five ACC programs were selected to the field of 18 for the 2024 NCAA Championship: Boston College, North Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia, and Duke.
Led by four All-ACC selections, including 2024 Goalkeeper of the Year Charlotte Kramer, the Eagles posted a perfect 8-0 record at home this season. Kramer and Yani Zhong earned first team all-conference honors, while Peyton Hale and Eva Kluskens were named to the second team.
Princeton has compiled a 13-5 overall record so far this season, falling 2-1 in overtime to Harvard in the Ivy League championship game on Nov. 10. Â
