Drion and Kramer Claim ACC Weekly Awards

Second time Eagles have swept weekly field hockey awards since joining ACC in 2005
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Boston College forward Madelieve Drion has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week, while goalkeeper Charlotte Kramer was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week for games played October 7-13. This is the second time since joining the ACC in 2005 that the Eagles have swept the weekly field hockey awards, the other coming in 2022.Â
Drion scored three goals on six shots in the Eagles' two wins over No. 18 Cal and Stanford this past weekend. On Friday, she scored a pair of goals to help push the Eagles to a 4-0 victory over the No. 18 ranked Golden Bears. On Sunday, Drion opened the scoring in BC's 2-0 win over Stanford. The Amstelveen, Netherlands, native totaled six points on the weekend and ranks second on Boston College with seven goals and 19 points on the season.
Kramer stood tall in goal for the Eagles this weekend, recording a pair of shutouts as BC blanked Cal and Stanford. She made four saves on the weekend with all four coming in the win over No. 18 Cal. The sophomore from Severna Park, Maryland, has had a hand in four shutouts this season for the Eagles. This is the second ACC Defensive Player of the Week honor for Kramer, who also earned the weekly award on October 1.
