Sophomore goalkeeper earns accolade after recording first career shutout
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College's Charlotte Kramer has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Co-Defensive Player of the Week, sharing the honor with goalkeeper Louise Pert from Syracuse University.
Kramer earned her first conference award after leading the Eagles to a 1-0 victory at No. 13 Louisville. The Severna Park, Maryland native recorded four saves as she logged her first career shutout in the net. With the Cardinals making a final push to get on the scoreboard, Kramer stood tall in net, making two saves in the final two minutes to secure the ranked win for Boston College.
Kramer has started every game in net this season for the Eagles, allowing nine goals, while posting 27 saves.
