
Mai Gao Takes Singles Point in Loss at Notre Dame

Eagles will face Florida State and Miami on the road next weekend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Boston College Eagles fell 6-1 to No. 56 Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon.
Anesh Jayasundera and Will Kasten played to a 5-6 match at No. 3 doubles before the Irish clinched the point on courts one and two.
In singles, Mai Gao got the Eagles on the board at No. 3 with a straight-set victory over Notre Dame's Matthew Che, winning 6-1, 6-4. At No. 1 singles, Max Motlagh took No. 24 Sebastian Dominko to a third set, forcing the tiebreak with a 6-4 second-set victory before Dominko took the tiebreaker.
The Eagles will stay on the road next weekend with matches at Florida State and Miami.
