Eagles Take Doubles Point in Loss to Virginia Tech

WEYMOUTH, Mass. — The Boston College Eagles fell 5-2 to Virginia Tech on Sunday morning.

The Eagles continued their strong doubles play this spring, taking the first point with wins from Juan Jose Bianchi and Max Motlagh, and Shreekar Eedara and Jake Vassel.

At No. 1 doubles, the top duo of Max Motlagh and Juan Jose Bianchi picked up their second top-20 doubles win this week, taking down the No. 18 duo from Virginia Tech on Sunday.

Bianchi earned a singles point with a victory at No. 2, winning a three-set battle 6-4, 1-6, 7-6.

The Eagles will be on the road next weekend at Wake Forest and N.C. State.
