BC Blanks Harvard to Advance to Beanpot Title Game

Abigail Levy had a 30-save shutout while three different Eagles scored in a 3-0 win.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Behind a 30-save shutout from Abigail Levy and three goals from three defenders, the Boston College women's hockey team topped Harvard, 3-0, in the 44th Women's Beanpot Tournament semifinal on Tuesday night at Kelley Rink. The Eagles now advance to the Beanpot Championship game at 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday against Northeastern at Kelley Rink.
Cayla Barnes put the Eagles on top just over three minutes into the contest. Keri Clougherty and Sidney Fess then potted their own goals in the middle frame for a 3-0 score at the second intermission. Levy made 15 saves in the final frame to seal her second consecutive shutout.

- Boston College held the 34-30 edge in shots on goal.
- The Eagles went 1-for-3 on the power play while keeping Harvard to 0-for-3.
- Abigail Levy finished with 30 saves for Boston College.
- Boston College is now 35-18-2 all-time in the Beanpot since becoming a varsity program (1995-present) … against Harvard in the Beanpot, BC is 9-12-0 as a varsity team and 11-18-0 overall.
- BC now advances to the program's 17th Beanpot title game as a varsity squad and 20th overall.
- The Eagles now have an overall mark of 18-29-1 in the all-time series with Harvard … the Eagles are 9-9-0 against the Crimson at home … head coach Katie Crowley is now 15-8-1 all-time against Harvard.
- Keri Clougherty and Sidney Fess both potted their first goals of the season.
- Cayla Barnes scored her 20th goal of her career, moving in to sole possession of sixth-place all-time in program history for scoring by a defender.
- Barnes tallied one goal and one assist for her 15th career multi-point game … it was her fifth career game-winning goal.
- Barnes had a team-leading four blocked shots.
- Caroline Goffredo registered two assists for her fourth career multi-assist game and ninth career multi-point game.
- Gaby Roy recorded two helpers for her seventh career multi-assist game and ninth career multi-point game.
- Levy registered her second consecutive shutout and her fifth of the season … Levy is now fourth all-time in program history with eight shutouts at Boston College.
- It marked the first shutout for BC in the Beanpot since a 7-0 blanking of Northeastern in the 2016 championship game on Feb. 9, 2016.
- Levy and Grace Campbell have now combined for back-to-back-to-back shutouts for BC since the first time since Jan. 15, 16 and 19, 2016.
- Hannah Bilka led the Eagles with a game-high seven shots on goal.
- Harvard: 7-15-3
- Boston College: 17-12-1
- Boston College will close out the Hockey East regular season series with Boston University on Saturday, Feb. 11.
- The Eagles will then host Northeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
