Eagles Cruise to Their Fifth Straight Win to Cap Doubleheader

Boston College improves to 6-1 with wins over Dartmouth and Stonehill
HANOVER, N.H. — The Boston College Eagles improved to 6-1 this spring with a pair of victories today, beating Dartmouth 5-2 and Stonehill 7-0, winning their fourth and fifth straight matches.
"Always tough to win on the road," said head coach Nigel Bentley. "We showed some resiliency today in Hanover against a hungry Dartmouth team and their home crowd. Our freshman, Seren and Natalie had strong days. Maria was so solid. Sophie and Stephanie competed well. And Hailey and Muskan stepped up and had good days. Overall, we are gaining confidence and improving."
The Eagles took two of three doubles matches against Dartmouth to take a 1-0 lead. Marice Aguiar and Seren Agar both won their singles matches in straight sets, as both improved to a perfect 6-0 in singles matches this spring.
Boston College swept doubles against Stonehill, and all six Eagles won their singles matches in straight sets. Freshman Seren Agar is now 7-0 in dual singles after winning 6-0, 6-0 at Stonehill in the second leg of the doubleheader. The Eagles dropped just nine total games in singles against Stonehill.
The Eagles will return home and look to carry this momentum over to the Battle of Comm. Ave against Boston University this Friday at 4:00.
