WEYMOUTH, Mass. — The No. 46 Boston College Eagles fell 5-2 to the No. 23 Miami Hurricanes (4-1, 1-0) on Friday night.

After dropping the doubles point, The Eagles (7-3, 0-2) evened the score at 1-1 when Laura Lopez won in straight sets at No. 2 singles. Down a set at No. 6 singles, Muskan Mahajan battled to a 6-4 victory in the second set before rallying to win a third-set tiebreak 7-6(7-4) for the Eagles' second point.

The Eagles will continue conference play against Florida State this Sunday at home.
