Minnetian Named Hockey East Defender of the Week

AMESBURY, Mass. – Aram Minnetian has been named the Army ROTC Hockey East Defender of the Week as the league announced its weekly award winners.
Minnetian made his first collegiate goal count, scoring the eventual game-winner just 1:19 into the third period on Friday night to beat UMass Lowell 3-2 at Kelley Rink.
The rookie defenseman has a goal and two assists for three points through his first eight NCAA games. He ranks third on the team with 13 blocked shots and fifth with a plus-4 rating.
The Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey native has helped Boston College's team defense rank seventh in the country with a 2.12 goals against average and its penalty kill rank eighth nationally at 91.7 percent.
Minnetian and the top-ranked Eagles face No. 13 Maine in a top-15 matchup this weekend at Alfond Arena in Orono.
