Eagles look to regain the top spot in Hockey East Standing.
CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. – The Boston College women's hockey team hits the road for back-to-back games on Friday, Dec. 1 and 2.Â
The Eagles head to Providence to take on the Friars on Friday for a 6 p.m. puck drop. Boston College returns to action on Saturday when they head to Connecticut to face No. 11 Huskies for a 3 p.m. start.Â
Friday's contest will stream on ESPN+, while the ranked matchup against UConn will air on NESN.Â

- Abby Newhook leads the Eagles in goals. Newhook has found the back of the net seven times in the first half of the season.Â
- The freshmen this year have made an immediate impact both Taber and Pellerin are tied for the most points among the Eagles with 12. Taber has found the back of the net three times and dished out nine assists. Pellerin has scored six times and assisted six times. Â

- Providence enters the weekend 15 games into the season, they sit with a record of 5-10-0 overall. In Hockey East play, the Friars have played 10 games and hold a record of 4-6-0, which sits them tied for seventh.Â
- Four of Providence's losses came from ranked opponents. In their losses to UConn and Northeastern, both were receiving votes at the time.Â
- The Friars have struggled on the power play attempts. They currently have a conversion rate of 2.6 percent. Providence has a penalty kill rate of 22 percent.Â
- Audrey Knapp is the lead scorer for the Friars. She has found the back of the net five times and dished out two assists for seven points.Â
- Providence has two goalies that have rotating in the net. Hope Walinski has started 10 games in the net averaging 2.28 goals against, with a save percentage of 89.5. Mireille has been in the net for the Friars for seven games this season, starting five of those. Kingsley has a goals allowed average of 2.34 and a save percentage of 89.8

- UConn enters the weekend 15 games into the season, they sit with a record of 10-4-1 overall. In Hockey East play, the Huskies have played 11 games and hold a record of 8-3-0, which sits them in first.Â
- The Huskies' three losses came early in the season, the Eagles swept them and the following weekend, they dropped a game to UNH. Since Oct. 20 UConn has yet to lose a conference game.Â
- Jada Habisch is the lead scorer for the Huskies. She has found the back of the net 10 times and dished out four assists for seven points.
- Tia Chan has been the constant force in the net for the Huskies, she has played in 10 game starting nine of those. Chan has recorded three shutouts this season and sits with a save percentage of 94.6 and a goals allowed average of 1.54.Â
HOCKEY EAST IMPLICATIONSÂ

- The matchup between the Eagles and UConn will be one versus two in Hockey East standings.Â
- UConn is currently in first place with 25 points over 11 games. Meanwhile, the Eagles sit in second place with 23 points through 12 games.Â
- Both teams face off on Friday, UConn battles it out with Merrimack who is sixth in the standings. Boston College faces off against Providence, who sits tied for seventh place in the standings.Â
- Looking ahead at the standing, Boston College has to be the leader in Hockey East standings if the Eagles win both games outright and UConn drops both games this weekend.Â
