
Boston College Ranks No. 26 on the USTFCCCA Poll

Eagles return to the national top 30 poll for the first time since the 2020 season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Fresh off a second place finish at the 2023 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, Boston College enters the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the first time this season at No. 26.  It marks the first time the Eagles have been ranked among the top 30 poll since the 2020 season, when they ranked 29th during week four of the national voting.
On Friday, Nov. 10, the Eagles earned an automatic spot in the field of the NCAA Cross Country championship - the program's first appearance at the national championship race since 2019 - by finishing second overall at the regional race, held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y.  BC compiled 109 points, finishing close behind fellow ACC member Syracuse (98). The second place finish at regionals is the best for the Eagles since 2011, when they also placed second overall.
The 2023 NCAA Women's Cross Country Championship will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 in Charlottesville, Va. The women's 6k race will begin at 10:20 a.m. ET and will air live on ESPNU and will be streamed live on WatchESPN.
