Burlington Vt. - The Boston College women's hockey team splits the series against Vermont on Saturday afternoon with a 2-3 loss.

The Eagles came out of the gates hot with Abby Newhook scoring just over three minutes into the first period. The Catamounts responded with two power-play goals making it 2-1 in the third period. Julia Pellerin responds to the back-to-back Vermont goals with under three minutes left to tie the game up. Vermont fired back the game-winning goal nine seconds later.

BC out shot Vermont in all three periods for 35 shots. Vermont only had 20 shots on goal.
Abby Newhook recorded her sixth goal of the season.
