Eagles Compete at ITA Northeast Regional Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Boston College men's tennis team competed in the ITA Northeast Regional Championships hosted by Yale University this past weekend.
Mai Gao and Jake Vassel led the way for the Eagles, making the round of 16 in singles competition. Vassel fell short to Yale's Eric Li 6-4, 6-3 while Gao forced a third set to Yale's Aiden Reilly, ultimately dropping the matchup 6-2, 3-6, 6-1.
The doubles pairs of Will Kasten/Matthew Overvelde and Bennett Turner/Matt Campbell both advanced to the round of 32 for BC, advancing via first-round bye and an 8-5 victory over Colgate respectively.
