
Eagles Travel to MIT for Eric Sollee Invitational

After winning the NEFC last week BC takes on Duke, Haverford, NYU and others
Cambridge, Mass -- Boston College took part in the Eric Sollee Invitational on Sunday, the Eagles were one of nine teams in Cambridge for the meet with the BC Men and Women set to square off against Stevens Tech, NJIT, Yeshiva, Duke, Haverford and NYU.
The men's team, who was announced to be ranked 11th in the latest NCAA Coach's Poll went undefeated with wins over #11 Stevens, whom they are currently tied in the NCAA rankings with, #9 Duke and #8 NYU.The women's team had a very solid day at 3-3, with wins against Stevens, Yeshiva and Haverford and a very narrow loss to NYU.
Some of the top performers for the Men's team included, Inigo Rivera who went 13-2, including a sweep of NYU and Duke with a key victory over NCAA Runner Up Terrence Lee from Duke, Brian Wang, who went to 9-2, with sweep of Duke, Levi Hughes who went 9-3. For the Women's Team some of the highlights included Katarina Hone who went 9-4, Samantha Yeh with a 9-6 record, and Anisha Kundu with 7-7 record.

"Today was by far the best day we've had as a complete team. Our attitude and togetherness led the men to an undefeated day and the women to their best performance of the season. The men's team came in incredibly motivated by their placement in the coaches poll and the women's team has continued to overcome adversity this season. Now we rest up and get ready for two hard days of competition at Northwestern next weekend."
Boston College Fencing will head to Evanston, Ill next weekend for the Northwestern Invitational.
