
Brian Keane Named Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach

Keane joins the Eagles after spending the last two years at Bryant University
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Brian Keane has been named an assistant coach for the men's and women's swimming & diving team at Boston College, it was announced today by head coach Joe Brinkman. Keane joins the Boston College staff after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at Bryant University.
During his time with the Bulldogs, Keane helped guide the women's team to two Northeast Conference championships. The men's team, which moved to the NEC in 2022, won their first-ever conference championship in its inaugural season. Bryant's program would break 10 different school records and see four individual champions over the course of Keane's time in Smithfield.
Prior to joining Bryant University, Keane served as an assistant coach at Babson College for two seasons. There, he played a major role in the development and success that saw swimmers break 21 school records and record the largest point total in Babson's school history at the 2019 NEWMAC Championship.
As a student-athlete, Keane swam at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and was named team captain in his second season. During his college career, his team won the 2011 and 2013 Men's America East Conference Championships. After graduation, Keane stayed with the UMBC program as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2014-15 season. That year, the men's team would go on to win the 2015 CCSA Championship while the women won the 2015 America East Conference Championship.
