
Field Hockey Announces 2022 Schedule

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College field hockey has announced its 2022 schedule for the season. The 17-game slate features nine games at home, the ACC/Big Ten Cup, and the always-daunting ACC schedule.Â
BC opens the season with four straight home games, beginning with Providence in the season opener on Aug. 27 and Old Dominion the following day.
The Eagles will host the ACC/Big Ten Cup the following weekend, where they will face two of the four 2021 NCAA Final Four participants, including the defending national champions, Northwestern. BC will battle Maryland on Sept. 2 and the Wildcats on Sept. 4.Â
Boston College begins its road portion of the schedule with contests against Penn (Sept. 9) and St. Joseph's (Sept. 11).Â
Returning home five days later, the Eagles welcome UVA in their ACC opener before taking on Monmouth on Sept. 18. BC faces Duke (Sept. 23), Syracuse (Sept. 30), and Albany (Oct. 2) during a three-game road swing.
BC hosts the defending ACC champions, UNC, on Oct. 7 followed by an Oct. 12 matchup against Northeastern at home. The home finale takes place on Oct. 21 against Wake Forest after facing UConn five days earlier. Wrapping up the regular season are a pair of road contests against Boston University (Oct. 23) and Louisville (Oct. 28).Â
Duke hosts the ACC Tournament, which takes place Nov. 1-4.Â
