Mitchell Named to All-ACC Academic Women's Outdoor Track & Field Team

The BC Athletics Co-MVP also earned All-American honors in the 800m at the NCAA Championship

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Kate Mitchell was selected to the 2022 All-ACC Academic Women's Track & Field Team, it was announced today by the conference office.

Mitchell earned All-American honors in the 800m from the USTFCCCA after competing at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship. The ACC runner-up in the 800m, Mitchell clocked a personal-best 2:04.09 at the conference championship meet - ranking as the third-best time in BC history. For her efforts throughout the cross country, indoor, and outdoor track & field seasons, Mitchell was named the 2022 BC Athletics Female Co-Most Valuable Performer.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
