T'Yana Todd Signs with Women's Basketball for 2022
June 14, 2022 | Women's Basketball
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's basketball head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee is excited to announce the signing of T'Yana Todd.
Todd is the fifth commitment in the class of 2022, joining Kayla Lezama, Ava McGee, Ally Carman, and Taina Mair.
"T'Yana has great instincts, and her speed and smooth shot will allow her to be a versatile scorer in our fast-paced system. At 6'0, she has the size and athleticism to make a big impact on both ends of the floor. Playing for IMG Academy and Become One AAU organization and most recently representing Team Canada in the U18 Nationals has allowed her to compete and excel at the highest level. She is a competitor that is used to winning. I am eager to see her grow as a player and expect her to be a major contributor to our program."
A 6-0 guard from Canada, Todd spent her final season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. last season. She was a starter on the first-ever team at IMG that advanced to the Geico Nationals. Todd was a 2022 McDonald's All-American Game nominee and was selected to participate in the 2022 Biosteel All-Canadian game.
In addition, she was a John Lucas Top 160 Invite and a North Pole Hoops Camp All-Star.
Todd is currently playing for the U18 Canadian National Team at the FIBA U18 Women's Americas Championship. She led the team with a game-high 16 points en route to a dominating 68-40 win over Mexico yesterday in the opening game.Â
The Canadian National Team returns to action today at 5 p.m. ET against Brazil in the second game of the Group Phase.Â
