Eagles Take Fifth in Team Race National Championship

Co-Ed Dinghy National Championship to begin tomorrow
NEW ORLEANS --Â After earning a spot in the final eight with a 10-5 record in the opening round, the Eagles run ended today with a 5th place finish, just one race shy of qualifying for the final four. After a 1-3 start through the first four races of stage two, the Eagles rattled off three straight wins, including a victory over Navy in the final race that gave Boston College the tiebreaker and pushed them over Navy in the final standings.Â
"Very proud of the effort, especially our seniors," said head coach Greg Wilkinson. "The team really came together to rally for several hard fought wins after a bumpy start. Now it's time to move on to our next race."
The team race national champion will be crowned later today, and the Eagles will prepare for the Co-Ed Dinghy Nationals beginning tomorrow.Â
