Bilka Named New England Hockey Writers Association All-Star

This is the second time in her career that Bilka has been honored by the NEHWA.
BOSTON – Boston College women's hockey forward Hannah Bilka was honored by the New England Hockey Writers Association for her 2021-22 season, the organization announced on Tuesday. Bilka was named an NEHWA Division I All-Star for the second time in her career.

Bilka, who was a Hockey East First Team All-Star this season, racked up 33 points on 16 goals and 17 assists to go with four game-winning goals, one power-play tally and two short-handed goals. Her 146 shots on goal ranked fourth in Hockey East and 24th in the country. She earned two Hockey East Player of the Week awards during the regular season.

The Coppell, Texas native had 10 multi-point games this season, including one four-point game and four multi-goal games. Her four game-winning goals marked a career-high. She led Hockey East players in shots on goal in conference play with 117 while also finishing tied for third with three game-winning goals, second with two short-handed goals and tied for eighth with a plus-18 rating.
Bilka was name an NEWHA All-Star following her 2019-20 rookie season.

Additionally, Taylor Wasylk '14 was named the Division II-III Coach of the Year. The Suffolk women's hockey head coach was the Commonwealth Coast Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Rams to an overall record of 19-6-0 and was a finalist for CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Coach of the Year.Â
