Eight Eagles Named to National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team

BOULDER, Colo. – Eight members of the Boston College skiing team have been named to the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team by the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association.
Ben Charleston, Chiara Maria Ferrari, Will Kornya, Gigi Kranjc, Andrew Rusis, Zach Simmons, Matthew Smallhouse and Sophia Staudenmayer earned recognition for the Eagles. Captains Kornya and Staudenmayer along with Kranjc made the team for the third straight year.Â
In order to receive the honor, skiers must have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, matching the highest GPA requirement of any coaches association academic team nationally, and must participate at the EISA Championships.Â
A total of 361 collegiate skiers were named to the annual squad, marking the second straight season that more than 300 were named to the team nationally.
