BC Back On the Water to Face BU

The Eagles will face the BU Lightweights on Saturday morning.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College rowing team is set for a race at Boston University against the Terriers' lightweight crew at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 26.

This marks the first race of the championship spring season for the Eagles. The races will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

-This marks the first weekend of competition in the spring for the Terriers.
-The BU Lightweights competed three times during the fall season, taking part in the Head of the Housatonic, Head of the Charles and the Foot of the Charles.

FALL REWIND
-The Eagles competed four times during the fall, twice away from Boston and twice on the Charles River.
-BC took part in the Head of the Housatonic in Connecticut as well as an exhibition against Dartmouth.
-The Eagles raced twice on the Charles River, competing in the Head of the Charles as well as the Foot of the Charles.
LAST TIME AGAINST BU LIGHTWEIGHTS
-The last time the BC openweights raced against the BU lightweights came just over a year ago, when the Eagles and Terriers faced off in three different races on April 10, 2021.
-After jumping out to a big lead over the first 1000 meters, BC's V8 picked up a win with a time of 7:08.20 to beat out the Terriers' V8 (7:14.18) … BU then took the V4 and 2x/N4+ races.Â
UP NEXT
-The Eagles are set to travel to Pennsylvania next weekend to race against Bucknell, North Carolina and George Mason.
-BC will return to the Charles River on Saturday, April 9 against Boston University and Eastern Michigan.
