Bilka Named Hockey East First Team All-Star, Browne Honorable Mention

Hannah Bilka was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star while Kelly Browne earned Honorable Mention team honors.
AMESBURY, Mass. – Two Boston College women's players were recognized by Hockey East on Friday morning when the league office announced the 2021-22 all-star teams. Hannah Bilka was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star while Kelly Browne earned Honorable Mention team honors.

Bilka was voted to the First Team after finishing tied for fourth overall in conference scoring this season with 30 points on 15 goals and 15 assists. She led Hockey East players in shots on goal in conference play with 117 while also finishing tied for third with three game-winning goals, second with two short-handed goals and tied for eighth with a plus-18 rating. She had nine multi-point games in Hockey East play this season, including four multi-goal games and one four-point game that included a hat trick. Overall this season, Bilka has racked up 33 points on 16 goals and 17 assists to go with four game-winning goals, one power-play tally and two short-handed goals. Her 143 shots on goal rank 17th in the country. She earned two Hockey East Player of the Week awards during the regular season.

Bilka is the only non-senior or graduate student to earn a spot on the second or first all-star teams. The Coppell, Texas native was a third-team selection as a sophomore and was a Second-Team All-Star, Rookie of the Year and unanimous All-Rookie selection as a first-year player.

Browne, who was a first-team selection as a junior and a third-team selection as a sophomore, finished conference tied for fourth in scoring with 30 points off of 10 goals and 20 assists. The captain's 298 face-off wins and four game-winning goals in Hockey East both ranked second. Browne recorded 21 blocked shots, 88 shots on goal and had a plus-16 rating in Hockey East contests. She also had nine multi-point games in conference play this season, including a trio of three-assist outings. Overall this season, Browne leads BC with 34 points on 10 goals and 24 assists while chipping in three power-play goals, four game-winning goals and 379 face-off wins.

With Bilka, the program now has 59 Hockey East All-Star honorees, with 49 of them coming under head coach Katie Crowley. Bilka is the 29th Eagle to earn Hockey East First Team All-Star honors.
