ATLANTA -- The Eagles wrapped up a competitive and successful week at the ACC Championships in the last meet before the NCAA Championships in March. Eighteen school records were set from Tuesday to Saturday in Atlanta, and nine Eagles scored in their events, including two swimmers earning top-sixteen finishes across three races.Â
Megan Kramer punctuated her sensational freshman campaign with five school records and two trips to the finals round. It started on night one in the women's 800 freestyle relay, when Kramer broke her own 200 freestyle record on the leadoff leg, setting the new mark of 1:49.24. The final three legs of Ashleigh Scott, Olivia Howard, and Lindsey Ryalls combined to break the relay record as well, with the team setting the new mark of 7:26.63. On day two Megan made more history, swimming a 4:48.3 in the 500 freestyle, breaking her own record and becoming the highest finish in the women's swimming ACC Championship in program history, placing 12th. In the 1650 Freestyle, Megan added a 14th place finish to her resume, breaking her own mile record (16:36.30), and shattering her 1000 Freestyle record by five seconds in the process, with a 9:56.84.Â
Gigi Baldacci added two school records, first in the 100 Breaststroke, an event she has dominated in the 2021-22 campaign.
