Eagles Compete at The Head of The Housatonic

BC's four boats placed fourth, 13th, 16th, and 24th respectively
DERBY, Conn. – The Boston College rowing team raced in the Head of the Housatonic on Oct. 8th to begin the fall season. The Eagles raced four eights on the Housatonic River in preparation for the annual Head of the Charles where BC will compete on its home course.
BC raced all four boats in the 8+ Collegiate Women's Division I. Out of 28 boats, the 1V finished eighth overall with a final time of 16:25.7. Yale put together a strong showing, with their top three boats placing first, second, and fourth.
The 2V (16:56.2) came in 13th place just a second behind Columbia University. The 3V (17:14.6) and 4V (18:23.7) came in 16th and 24th respectively.Â
The Eagles will race again at the Head of the Charles the weekend of Oct. 22nd and 23rd.
