#14 Vermont Comes Back to Top #15 Eagles

BURLINGTON, Vt. – The #14 Vermont Catamounts scored twice in the third period en route to a 3-2 win over the #15 Boston College women's hockey team on Friday afternoon at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

The Eagles took a 1-0 lead just over two minutes into the contest off of a Gaby Roy goal and extended it to a 2-0 lead early in the second period thanks to Hannah Bilka. Vermont pulled a goal back before the second intermission and then equalized 20 seconds into the final frame before finding the winner midway through the period.

GAME NOTES

Vermont had the 45-13 lead in shots on goal.
The Eagles did not have a power-play opportunity while keeping the Catamounts to 0-for-1.
Abigail Levy finished with 42 saves for Boston College … it was her second game this season with 40-plus saves.
Boston College now holds a record of 49-6-5 in the all-time series with Vermont … the Eagles are 21-2-2 on the road against the Catamounts … head coach Katie Crowley is 38-4-5 all-time against Vermont.
Hannah Bilka extended her point streak to seven games with a goal in the second period … she now has at least one point in eight out of nine contests.
Alexie Guay and Deirdre Mullowney picked up their first assists of the season.
Cayla Barnes had a game-high three blocked shots.
