Hockey East Tabs Guay, Bilka for Weekly Awards

Hannah Bilka has been named the Player of the Week while Guay has been named the Defender of the Week.
AMESBURY, Mass. – Boston College forward Hannah Bilka has been named the Hockey East Player of the Week and defender Alexie Guay has been named the Hockey East Defender of the Week, as announced Monday by the league.
Bilka scored two goals and added three assists for five points in helping the Eagles to a two-win weekend over rival Boston University. The captain had an assist and blocked two shots in Friday's 3-0 shutout. On Saturday, Bilka racked up four points off of two goals and two assists. She scored the game-winning goal in the second period for her 100th career point. The Coppell, Texas native finished the weekend with her five points, nine shots on goal, three blocked shots and a plus-4 rating.
Guay totaled two points on two goals while blocking eight shots, firing eight shots on goal and earning a plus-4 rating on the weekend. The Magog, Quebec native scored twice in Saturday's 5-4 victory for her third career multi-goal game and had a game-high five blocked shots. Guay had three blocked shots in Friday night's shutout win in the Battle of Comm Ave.
This is the first time this season that Guay has been named the league's Defender of the Week and the fifth time in her career. This is the sixth career Player of the Week honor for Bilka and third of the season.
