Hockey East Tabs Bilka Player of the Week

Hannah Bilka led the league on the weekend with five points.
AMESBURY, Mass. – Boston College forward Hannah Bilka has been named the Hockey East Player of the Week, as announced on Monday by the league.
Bilka scored two goals and added three assists for five points in helping the Eagles to a weekend sweep of Merrimack. Her five points on the weekend led the league.
In Thursday night's Hockey East opener at Merrimack, the senior opened the scoring with a short-handed goal and added an assist on the power play in the 4-1 win. In Saturday's 4-0 win at home, Bilka assisted on the game-winning goal before scoring her 40th career goal and then assisting on the final BC score of the game.
The captain finished the weekend with 14 shots on goal and a plus-4 rating. Her two multi-point outings give her 25 for her career and three on the season. With her goal on Friday, Bilka became the 25th payer in program history to join the 40-goal, 40-assist club. Additionally, her short-handed goal on Thursday moved her in to a tie for fifth all-time in program history with six.
This is the fifth career Player of the Week honor for Bilka and second of the season.
