Eagles Fall to St. John's at US Open Grounds

Motlagh, Kasten, and Bianchi picked up singles victories on Friday
QUEENS, N.Y. -- In the second match of the spring, the Eagles narrowly lost against St. John's on Friday night. At Flushing Meadows, the venue for the U.S. Open, Boston College fell 4-3 as it came down to the final singles match.
After dropping the doubles point, the Eagles took four first sets in singles play as it came down to four third sets to decide the match. Max Motlagh won to trim the deficit to 3-2, and Juan Jose Bianchi tied it at 3-3 with a singles win of his own before St. John's pulled away at the end.Â
The Eagles will play their home opener this Friday, hosting SNHU at 3:00 at the Margot Connell Rec Center.Â
