Kennedy Named NFHCA Northeast Region Player of the Year

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Junior goalkeeper Jonna Kennedy has been named the NFHCA Northeast Region Player of the Year. She is one of five to win their region's player of the year honor.
Kennedy had a breakout year, with a 7-5 record, including a 7-2 record in 2021, with a 1.76 GAA and an ACC-leading .794 save percentage. She had 81 saves on the year and led the ACC with 6.75 saves per game. She also posted three shutouts.
Kennedy's best game of the year came in a 2-1 win over Syracuse, where she made 21 saves on 22 shots to lead BC to victory. Her three shutouts on the year came against New Hampshire, Vermont and Providence.
She was named ACC Defensive Player of the Year and placed on the All-ACC first team. Kennedy was also named to the NFHCA All-Northeast Region first team.
