Colleen and Michaela O'Brien Earn ICSA All-America Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College freshmen Colleen O'Brien and Michaela O'Brien were both named All-Americans this week by the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA). Colleen was recognized as an All-American skipper, while Michaela earned Honorable Mention honors as a crew.

The twin sisters from Little Silver, New Jersey helped BC finish third overall at the ICSA Women's National Championships in Annapolis with a roster featuring all freshmen. The Eagles entered the final race of the regatta with the overall lead and narrowly missed winning their 22nd national title.

The O'Briens won the A Division by capturing four different races, all coming in the opening eight races of the competition in windier conditions. The tandem also earned a pair of second place finishes.
