
Four Tabbed NFHCA All-Americans

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Four members of the Boston College field hockey team have been named NFHCA All-Americans, as announced by the organization during its awards show Tuesday night. Selected to the team were Margo Carlin, Fusine Govaert, Jonna Kennedy and Elizabeth Warner.
Carlin was named to the first team, Govaert to the second team, and Kennedy and Warner were third team members.
Carlin had six goals and seven assists in 14 games and was tied for third in the ACC in points (19) and assists. A native of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, Carlin was tied for the ACC-lead in assists per game with .500. Carlin was an All-ACC first team and NFHCA All-Region player this season.
Govaert played primarily in the back this season scoring two goals and having four points. She also had four defensive saves, which is tied for second in the nation in the category. Govaert was named to the All-ACC second team and to the NFHCA All-Region team this year.
Kennedy, a native of Watertown, Mass., was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year and the NFHCA Northeast Region Player of the Year. The junior goalkeeper was also on the All-ACC first team after having a 7-5 record, including a 7-2 record during the 2021 spring season, with a 1.76 GAA and an ACC-leading .794 save percentage. She had 81 saves on the year and led the ACC with 6.75 saves per game. She also posted three shutouts.
Warner set career-highs in both goals (8) and points (19) on her way to second-team honors. Warner is third in the ACC with .571 goals per game and tied for third in points per game with 1.36. She was named to the NFHCA All-Northeast Region first team and All-ACC second team.
