Eagles Suffer ACC Road Defeat at Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Eagles began their ACC weekend road trip against Florida State on Friday afternoon, losing by a score of 7-0 at the Speicher Tennis Center.

Boston College falls to 2-9 overall (0-9 ACC), while the Seminoles' record moves to 8-13 (2-8 ACC).

FSU jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point, as Loris Pourroy and Marcus Walters defeated BC's Max Motlagh and Mason Fung 6-2. Chase Wood and Andreja Petrovic took down Santiago Montufar and Bennett Turner in third doubles.

The Seminoles kept their foot on the gas in singles play as all six players won in straight sets. Captain Max Mendelsohn played a tight match in second singles, but Richard Thongoana pulled out each set 6-4.Â

BC remains in the sunshine state for the weekend, traveling to Miami to take on the Hurricanes on Sunday afternoon (April 11) at 1 p.m.
