BU Lightweights Next Test Up for Eagles

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College crew team is set for a race at Boston University against the Terriers' lightweight crew at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 10.

Though not a home race, this marks the first of two consecutive weekends on the Charles River for the Eagles.

LAST WEEKEND
-The Eagles finally returned to competition for the first time in 530 days on Saturday, April 3 when it took to the Thames River in Connecticut to face Coast Guard.
-The teams raced 1K pieces in three boat flights … BC had a Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, Third Varsity 8 and a Novice 8 in the water

THE LAST TIME ON THE CHARLES
-Though this is not a home race, this will mark BC's first time back racing on the Charles River since competing in the 55th Head of the Charles Regatta Oct. 19-20, 2019.
-In a field of 55 boats, the Eagles' Club 4+ A finished in 11th at 19:31.326…the Club 4+ B boat was 20th at 20:02.840…the Club 8+ took 12th of 31 in 17:28.618.

LAST TIME AGAINST BU LIGHTWEIGHTS
-The last time the BC openweights raced against the BU lightweights was in March 2019, the Terriers swept the Eagles in the 1V8, 2V8, 3V8 and V4.

UP NEXT
-The Eagles are set to host Rhode Island on Saturday, April 17 and then UConn and Holy Cross on Sunday, April 18.
