Schleicher Named IWLCA Co-Defensive Player of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore midfielder Hollie Schleicher has been named IWLCA Co-Defensive Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday.
Schleicher helped lead BC to two wins over No. 4 Notre Dame in Alumni Stadium this past weekend, getting 10 draw controls and three caused turnovers.
Stanford's Ali Biaocco was named IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week, while Schleicher shared defensive honors with Lehigh's Sondra Dickey.
A native of Sag Harbor, New York, Schleicher has 50 draw controls, 15 ground balls and eight caused turnovers this year. She is fifth in the ACC with 4.17 draw controls per game.
The Eagles are back in action for a pair of games at No. 3 Syracuse on Thursday, April 22 and Saturday, April 24. April 22nd's matchup will be aired on ESPNU at 6 p.m.
