Eagles Drop ACC Finale at 14th-Ranked Georgia Tech

ATLANTA – Boston College rested several key players and completed its ACC regular season on Sunday at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex against 14th-ranked Georgia Tech, falling by a score of 7-0.

BC finishes the regular season with a record of 4-11 (2-11 ACC), while the Yellow Jackets close at 15-9 (8-5 ACC).
The Eagles have earned the No. 13 seed for the ACC Championships and will face No. 12 seed Louisville at 9 a.m. on Wednesday (April 21) in Rome, Georgia.Â

The No. 1 doubles spot featured a ranked match between No. 3 Victoria Flores and Kenya Jones against No. 89 Yufei Long and Kylie Wilcox, as Georgia Tech's duo came out victorious 6-2. The Yellow Jackets later clinched the doubles point on Court 3 behind Mahak Jain and Carol Lee.
Marice Aguiar and Loren Haukova were leading their doubles match 4-3 in the No. 2 slot before it went unfinished.
Georgia Tech kept the momentum going in singles as all six players won in straight sets. No. 18 Victoria Flores led the way, defeating Yufei Long 6-1, 6-2 in first singles. Aguiar's second set against Ava Hrastar went to a tiebreaker as the rookie played up at second singles with Wilcox resting.Â
Laura Lopez also did not play on Sunday for Boston College.Â
