Junior becomes just the fourth BC player to earn the honor
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College junior guard Cameron Swartz became the fourth player in school history to be named to the ACC All-Tournament Team. Swartz was named to the ACC All-Tournament Second Team and joined Mickel Picco (second team), Carolyn Swords (first team & second team) and Taylor Soule (second team) as the only Boston College women's basketball players to be named to the all-tournament team.
Swartz tied a school record with 33 points in an ACC Tournament game to lead the 13th seeded Eagles to a 67-56 victory over No. 12 seed Pitt in the first round of the 2021 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament.
The 33 points scored by Swartz tied for the seventh-best single-game total in ACC Tournament history.
She set an ACC Tournament record with 33 points in a first round game. The previous record was 32 points in a first round game, held by Lyndra Littles of Virginia (2007 vs. Clemson) and Jamie Cherry of North Carolina (2017 vs. Pitt).
Swartz's 15 made free throws were the most in an ACC Tournament first round game. The previous record was 14 by Georgia Schweitzer of Duke against Wake Forest in 2001.
The 15 made free throws were the second-best single-game total in any ACC Tournament game, only behind 16 made free throws from Linda Page of NC State versus Clemson in 1983.
Swartz tied Mickel Picco in Boston College history with the most points scored in an ACC Tournament game.
The 33 points and 15 made free throws were both career bests for Swartz. Her previous single-game best was 27 points against Tulane (11/28/19) and six free throws against Georgia Tech (2/21/21).
The 15 made free throws rank second in Boston College single-game history, behind only Sarah Behn vs. Georgetown in 1993.
