Eagles Drop First Match of ACC Weekend to No. 15 NC State

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Boston College dropped the first match of an ACC home weekend to 15th-ranked NC State, falling by a final score of 7-0 at the Weymouth Club on Friday afternoon.

BC now has a record of 0-5 (0-5 ACC) while NC State moves to 6-4 (4-1 ACC).

The nationally ranked Wolfpack jumped out to an early lead by earning the doubles point behind Collin Schick and Robin Catry, who defeated Santiago Montufar and Max Mendelsohn 6-2.

For the second match in a row, Shreekar Eedara was the only Eagles player to take his singles match to a third set, but the rookie ultimately fell to Yannai Barkai after winning the opening set.

The Eagles host another ranked team in No. 12 Wake Forest on Sunday (March 7) beginning at 10 a.m. at the Weymouth Club.
