
ACC Announces 2021 Postgraduate Scholarship Recipients

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference is set to honor 52 student-athletes who have been selected as 2021 Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship Award recipients, including three Boston College student-athletes: Zion Johnson (football), Clare Naughton (volleyball) and Lauren White (track and field).

This year's class of postgraduate scholarship recipients will be highlighted in a one-hour show on ACC Network that will debut in May.
Â
Naughton, a political science major, has played in all 43 of BC's sets this season and has a team-leading 109 kills. In 2019, she finished third on the team with 290 kills while playing in 119 of the team's 128 sets on the year.

Johnson, a computer science major, was named to the All-ACC third-team at offensive tackle. Johnson graded out as BC's top offensive lineman in 2020 after moving from left guard to left tackle in the preseason.Â
Â
White, an international studies major, has been competing for the Eagles in both track and field and cross country this year. Most recently, she earned an individual qualifying spot for the NCAA Cross Country Championships, where she placed 62nd. In February, she finished seventh in the 3K at the ACC Championships.
