NEWTON, Mass. – The Boston College field hockey team defeated Vermont on Saturday, March 13, 3-0, at the Newton Field Hockey Complex.
Jonna Kennedy played all 60 minutes, making five saves in the shutout effort.
Fusine Govaert opened the scoring for BC, burying a penalty corner from Margo Carlin and Juliette Hildra with seven seconds to go in the first period.
Then, 36 seconds of game time later, Jaime Natale deflected a Margo Carlin shot into the back of the net to double the BC lead.
BC out-shot Vermont, 10-8, but held the Catamounts without a single scoring attempt in the second half.
The Eagles scored their final tally in the 52nd minute on a penalty stroke from Sky Caron.

The Eagles are back on Friday, March 19 to continue ACC play at North Carolina.
