Lauren White finishes 14th overall in a field with some of the top teams in the country
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Boston College finished 11th at the FSU Winter XC Classic, held at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla. this morning. The Eagles competed in the Garnet race, featuring several nationally ranked teams.
Lauren White was the first BC runner to cross the finish line, clocking 20:38.9 for the six-kilometer course. White was 14th overall.
Anna Oeser was the Eagles' second finisher, placing 33rd overall. She crossed the finish line in 21:03.5. Sorcha McAllister (61st, 21:40.4), Kylee Raftis (79th, 21:57.7), and Miriam Ruoff (100th, 22:16.6) rounded out the Boston College scorers.
Sarah Flynn (110th, 22:32.0) and Caroline McClelland (119th, 22:51.8) completed the top seven finishers for BC.
Colorado took the team title (72 points), followed by Stanford (77), Duke (128), Oklahoma State (181), and Iowa State (189). The Eagles compiled 279 points.
The Eagles also had three runners compete in the 6K Gold race. Astrid Snall placed 26th (22:48.6), followed by Katherine DeLoreto in 36th place (23:27.3). Ella Whitman crossed the line in 44th place (23:41.5).
