Tulchinsky Named Hockey East Rookie of the Week

Hockey East announced Monday that Natalie Tulchinsky has been named the league's Rookie of the Week.

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Hockey East announced Monday that Boston College freshman Natalie Tulchinsky has been named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week.

In Boston College's 4-0 win at UConn on Sunday, Tulchinsky assisted on Willow Corson's game-sealing goal. The Clifton Park, N.Y. native also added a blocked shot and had a plus-one rating in the two-win weekend for the Eagles. BC also topped UConn, 3-2, on Saturday at Kelley Rink.

Tulchinsky now has four points on the year on two goals and two assists, with three points on two goals and one assist coming against UConn. Her other tally came on a game-winning goal against New Hampshire.

This marks the first career weekly honor for Tulchinsky. This is the second Rookie of the Week honor for BC this season, with Gaby Roy getting the nod earlier this season (Nov. 30).
