Cobb joins the Heights after serving at the NCAA since 2009
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – William V. Campbell Director of Athletics Pat Kraft announced the hiring of Reshauna (Shauna) Cobb as Senior Associate Athletics Director, Internal Operations and Senior Woman Administrator at Boston College.
Cobb comes to the Heights after serving at the NCAA since April of 2009.
"We could not be happier to welcome Shauna to our executive leadership team here at Boston College," said Kraft. "She brings a wealth of knowledge to the position not only from her time at the NCAA but also has a strong knowledge of the ACC from previous stops at Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech."
Prior to Boston College, Cobb served as Director of Academic and Membership Affairs at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). She joined the NCAA in April of 2009.
"I am excited to join Pat Kraft and the entire Boston College team," said Cobb. "Boston College is a world-class institution in a world-class city; rich in tradition and values rooted in the Jesuit faith. I look forward to bringing my experiences with me to positively impact success on the Heights! I cannot wait to engage with our student-athletes, coaches, and administrators to support the exceptional work being done."
Cobb's responsibilities at the NCAA included co-oversight of the team that processes interpretations and waivers of Division I academic legislation. She also had oversight of the Division I Academic Performance Program (academic data operations & penalty waivers, APR improvement plans, public releases, policy interpretations, etc.).
Cobb serves as a liaison to both the Division I Committee on Academics and the Division I Strategic Vision and Planning Committee and assisted with development of agenda and materials and in facilitation of meetings.
Prior to joining the NCAA, Cobb held positions in athletics compliance at both Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech.
Cobb attended Clemson University in Clemson, S.C. In 2001, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and in 2003 with a Master's of Human Resource Development. She was a member of the 2008 class of the NCAA Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute (formerly the NCAA Leadership Institute for Ethnic Minority Males and Females).
She completed the NCAA/NACWAA Institute for Administrative Advancement in 2012. In 2016, Cobb participated in the NCAA Pathway Program, a year-long experiential learning opportunity for senior-level athletics administrators.
