
O'Brien Sisters, McGauley, Ferraris Pace Eagles To Top-Three Finish in Cambridge

Eagles top team won their division to secure third-place finish for Urn Trophy
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Competing for the Urn and Schell Trophies in two conference championship regattas over the weekend, the Eagles finished third of sixteen competing teams for the Victorian Urn Trophy and sixth of eighteen for the Professor Erwin Schell Trophy.
At Harvard for the Urn Trophy, the first division team of Colleen O'Brien, Michaela O'Brien, Katelyn McGauley, and Laura Ferraris dominated the field, coming in first place in the division with a low score of 52 points, with 81 as the next closest total. The team won three times and finished in the top three in twelve of the sixteen races, pacing the Eagles to a third-place finish with 160 total points.
The second team of McGauley, Ferraris, and Elizabeth Redmond finished fifth in their division, logging a victory of their own.
At MIT for the Schell Trophy, the first team of Jack DeNatale and Nicole Moeder logged four top-three finishes, ending up seventh in their division. The second team of Robert Hunter and Emma Batcher recorded two top-three finishes of their own, finishing eighth in their division, as the Eagles recorded 287 total points, good for sixth overall.
