Three Eagles To Compete In Super Regionals This Weekend

Natasha Irani, Laura Lopez, and Marice Aguiar will represent BC at Princeton
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — The Eagles will send three athletes to the ITA Northeast Regionals at Princeton University this weekend. Natasha Irani, Laura Lopez, and Marice Aguiar will represent Boston College as they compete against the other athletes who advanced past the two qualifying tournaments earlier this month.
Irani, who will play singles, punched her ticket to Princeton with a perfect 3-0 performance at the regional qualifier two weeks ago, defeating opponents from Yale, Harvard, and Columbia. Irani will return to the tournament after competing in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
Lopez will also return for the third time after earning an automatic berth in doubles with Aguiar. The pair earned a national ranking as a doubles team last spring and will look to continue their success this weekend.
Aguiar, making her first trip to the tournament, will team up with Lopez for doubles and received an automatic singles berth as well             Â
The Super Regionals will take place this Friday through Sunday at Princeton.
Looking ahead, the Eagles will prepare for a dual tournament at Brown during Halloween weekend.
