Spencer Knight carries a shutout streak of 132 minutes and an unbeaten streak of 13 games (12-0-1) dating back to last season
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Spencer Knight was named the Stop It Goaltender of the Month by Hockey East on Monday in a combined award for games played in November and December.
Senior forward Logan Hutsko was named the runner-up for Hockey East Player of the Month, while his linemate Nikita Nesterenko earned runner-up honors for the Rookie of the Month Award.

Knight went 4-0-0 in net for the Eagles before departing to compete for Team USA at the IIHF World Junior Championships. The sophomore posted a 1.50 goals against average and a .955 save percentage in his first four starts, finishing with back-to-back shutouts against No. 12 Providence.

The Darien, Connecticut native extended his shutout streak to 132 minutes and his personal unbeaten streak to 13 straight games (12-0-1) dating back to last season. He collected his sixth and seventh career shutouts in the Providence series, moving into sixth place all-time in program history.

Knight will start for the United States tonight at 9:30 p.m. (ET) in the World Junior Championship Semifinal against Finland on NHL Network. He is 3-1-0 in four starts thus far at World Juniors with a 1.70 goals against average, .924 save percentage and two shutouts.
He became the first American goaltender ever to record back-to-back shutouts in World Junior Championship play and is now tied for first in both single tournament and career shutouts for Team USA at the WJC.
